Work areas
My main task for 2016 is leading the Server and Storage management group, which is the group responsible for our datacenters, acquiring new hardware, virtualization, backup and storage. My areas of work in more detail are:
- Virtualization (mostly VMware these days)
- Storage (FC-SAN, HUS-VM, HNAS, EMC)
- UNIX and Linux systems administration
- Solutions for clusters, loadbalancing and failover
- DNS / hostmaster
- IT infrastructure monitoring
- server hardware / datacenter
- network
- IPv6
Background
Master of Science in systems administration from NTNU and a course in project leadership (fall 2010). I have been working at USIT since 2004.
